TRAMS (Technical Reporting Audit Management System) is a powerful audit management tool. This application is used to enter, analyse and produce comprehensive reports from the data generated during audits and/or inspections.
TRAMS makes use of industry standard audit checklists to meet the specific requirements of each individual client.
TRAMS is an audit management package, which deals primarily with Technical Rig Audits, but it is equally of use within other industry sectors. The system has been written with input from auditors and conforms to the traditional audit procedure in accordance with ISO 19011, 2002.
TRAMS can be used as a powerful audit management tool, to plan, organise, store and manage the data generated during audits and/or inspections. It allows the manipulation of industry-standard audit checklists, to meet the specific requirements of each individual client.
The TRAMS application has a user-friendly Windows-style interface which is easily navigated using the menus and toolbars provided. A comprehensive on-screen help facility is provided and offers a search facility together with context sensitive help.
TRAMS has been developed to conform to the classical audit process that has evolved over many years of audit inspection and can be used for all the steps that are part of the audit process listed below:
Traditionally, companies have worked to their own standards. As a result they have been working with their own set of checklists. This has produced a barrier to audit standardisation within industry sectors.
TRAMS was designed in order to promote standardisation within the auditing community. Without standardisation, information sharing becomes costly and time consuming.
TRAMS provides the following benefits to companies:
Efficient data management resulting in enhanced working environments
TRAMS operates by making use of standardised templates. These templates are:
Each of these templates is based on a hierarchical three-tier system consisting of standard Checklists, Topics and Tasks.
1. Checklist - This is the top level that describes an area of working practice.
2. Topic - This is the intermediate level, and lists all components that are connected to the particular Checklist.
3. Tasks - Are the most detailed, low-level physical checks that the auditor needs to carry out for each Topic.
Once a customised audit (D.A.T.) has been created, the audit can be issued to create a mini audit database file (.ADX) which can be used by an auditor independently from the main Audit database.
The single audit can be imported back into the main Audit database at any time, but will typically be done once the audit is complete.
An important feature of TRAMS is the ability to capture Non-Conformances, which can be logged with a CRITICAL, MAJOR or MINOR status. The system will automatically generate Corrective Action Requests (C.A.R.s) for Non-Conformances that have been assigned a status of either CRITICAL or MAJOR:
TRAMS allows the auditor to attach the following files to an Audit or particular Audit Task:
These attachments enhance the audit findings because of their visual nature.
In addition, TRAMS can hold Company/Contact Details associated with an audit and general rig data.
