Research Projects: Project have included:-
  • Equipment operability in extreme climates ranging form –40°C to +40°C
  • Drilling operations in hostile environments, covering issues such as drilling rigs and related equipment, well planning and local infrastructure.
  • Investigation into cuttings re-injection over a ‘skip and ship’ system

Quality Assurance
Aberdeen Drilling Consultants has become proficient in the implementation of quality assurance systems. Namely, in the areas of equipment assurance, we aim to implement systems to ensure that equipment is “right first time”. These processes are designed to be used from the earliest stages of procurement through to receiving the equipment on location.

By utilising close links with our technology partners, (Noble Denton, and Lloyds Register), ADC can provide clients with extensive experience of failure analysis. We are able to offer a comprehensive, quick response, failure investigation service for all types of oil and gas-related equipment. Analysis is carried out by a combination of detailed mechanical investigation of the failed components and complex engineering modelling, including finite element analysis.

The emphasis in all our MODU auditing lies with the operability and reliability of the rig together with the ongoing safety of the crew and the environment.
